Pressure relief material


TAICEND has developed two different pressure-reducing materials by using different technologies: the Hydrophobic patented pressure-reducing foam and the mechanically-made pressure-reducing foam.

Both of which can achieve a good pressure-reducing effect and shaped according to the applied part. 

Following results from clinical usage, from the selection of raw materials to the creation of the formulas, the final product has satisfied the maximum expectations of patients and medical staff in clinical use.

The Hydrophobic patented decompression foam leaves a perfect layer so that the skin can reduce the pressure caused by instruments or items related to long-term placement of equipment, due to long-timed surgeries and other clinical processes when it is necessary for the patient to lie in the same posture on a hospital bed resulting in severe damage of the skin in a particular place. The pressure-reducing foam technology not only disperses the pressure on the bone protrusions, but also reduces the friction between the device and the skin. Different sizes of pressure-reducing pads can be created according to the needs of different parts.

The pressure-reducing foam can be made lighter and thinner, making it is more comfortable for the skin. It is also more adequate to be used in the case of long-term wearing of N95 masks, since it will help on reducing the pressure caused by the mask on the face.

 


 

Pressure relief material technology

(1)Disperse the pressure: The pressure can be redistributed so that the pressure is not concentrated on the same protruding bone, thereby reducing the chance of injury due to pressure.

(2) Breathability: It can be used for a long time to maintain the breathability of the skin and reduce allergies.

(3) Reduce friction: Less friction and absorb pressure.

Pressure relief material experiment-

Test with a NIPPV mask-shaped pressure relief pad

Compare the use of no pressure relief pad with one using a 10-mm pressure relief pad.

Color map shows that the use of pressure relief pads produces a large-area pressure dispersion effect on the face, reducing the maximum pressure and slowing down the phenomenon of pressure concentration. The pressure relief material reduces the maximum pressure at the compressed position by at least 81.6%.
